My name is Caitlin and I am super excited to be joining the Fairfield County Moms Blog contributor team. Here are 30 facts about me!
15 Regular Facts:
- I’ve been with my husband Tim for 13 years but only married for 3.
- I am the mom of (almost) Irish twins! My first daughter was born in June of 2017 and my second was born in July of 2018.
- I live in Shelton, where we just built a new home.
- This is my eighth year as an elementary school computer teacher.
- I have a 85 pound golden doodle named Boomer.
- I love to dance and bake.
- My top 3 favorite places in the U.S. are Newport, R.I., Disney World, and Hawaii.
- I love hosting parties and gatherings.
- My biggest fear was always child birth. Nailed it. Twice.
- I am 30 years old and want my parents approval on every decision I make.
- I enjoy writing. I find math to be challenging.
- New England is the most beautiful place to live in the world, but I would not mind summer all year round.
- I studied Elementary Education with a concentration in English/Geography at CCSU. Afterwards, I went to Sacred Heart to earn my Masters in Reading/Literacy. Finally, I studied at American College of Education to obtain a second Master’s degree in Educational Technology.
- My parents and brother are my best friends and we grew up in a very tight-knit family.
- My two favorite things to do are go on vacation and go out to eat.
15 Unique Facts:
- I like my cereal with lots of milk. I like my oatmeal very thick.
- Improper pronunciation of words drives me crazy.
- I prefer even numbers and specifically multiples of 4 and 7.
- I have a fascination of the origination of people’s names and how they came to be. (Liliana was decided 13 years ago when my husband and I first started dating. “If we were to ever have a baby…what would we name her? It’s been Liliana ever since. Kinley was more random and not decided upon immediately. Her name is Gaelic, just like mine, which made it special).
- I prefer small, light-weight utensils but specifically small spoons.
- I have OCD tendencies such as the “need” to make my bed, have a routine, and know what my plans are.
- I could live solely off of chocolate and french fries.
- My husband and I have a recent obsession with the show Survivor and have binge watched every season. (Nerd alert!).
- When I was 9 I fell into the Kenai River in Alaska and swore I was dying of hypothermia. (I was not).
- I have had the same best friends since I was a small child/baby.
- Some of my favorite memories involve musical theater and traveling to Disney for dance competitions.
- We built our new home directly across the street from our old home. And, our best friends live one house over from us!
- Pregnancy was delightfully surprising. I enjoyed both of my pregnancies very much.
- I wanted to be a mom since childhood and it is a lot harder and even better than I could have dreamed it would be.
- I was told that I have “perfect pitch” from my choir teacher in high school but promise you I cannot sing well to save my life.
