Making Dinner Fast in the Slow Cooker

crock potOne of my resolutions this year is to make the effort to meal plan each week (maybe even for the month but we’ll see) and make my grocery list for that week as well. It has greatly helped my family stay on track health wise and helps us save money each week. One of my favorite kitchen tools is the slow cooker or crock pot. It is possibly one of the few items from our wedding registry that gets used on a weekly basis! I’ve also heard great things about the instant pot too!

The crock pot is a great tool to have when you find yourself with a crazy week or lacking energy (or interest) in cooking at the end of the week. I tend to plan my meals for the week and look at our daily activities. I plan crock pot meals for days that we are running all over the place or on a Friday night when the last thing I want to do is prepare a meal.

Here are a bunch of my favorite slow cooker meals along with some from my fellow Fairfield County Moms! Enjoy!
