We know you love to spend as much time with your kids as you can, but we also know that sometimes driving your kids to and from all of their appointments and activities can be overwhelming and doesn’t fit into your schedule. You reach out to those you know, but wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way to put out a driver request and have people you know jump on the chance to help you out?
There is! It’s called KydRides, and it’s a networking app that allows you to connect with the people you know, put out ride requests for your kids and have them safely be transported to and from their appointments and activities. In return, you can offer a payment in the form of something called Thank You dollars.
What do we do as parents when we can’t be the ones driving?
That was the problem that owner and founder, Jeff Sansone, wanted to solve when KydRides was created.
“Getting my kids around Ridgefield was no easy task, and I was unsatisfied with the transportation options available for them. They all had the same problem; strangers were driving.”
Asking a friend to drive is a great option, but sometimes it’s hard to go to your friends one by one, and oftentimes, repeated requests can make you feel guilty, and it imposes on their personal lives. There are times when you need to know that the ride is set so that you can move on with your other important parts of your day.
KydRides solves this problem. KydRides empowers parents to set up your own network of drivers, made up of people you know.
Social media has connected us more than ever before. KydRides leverages these connections and lets you build a bespoke, private network of drivers who you handpick. When that time comes when you cannot drive your child, you can turn to your trusted option of KydRides to do the task.
KydRides has all the benefits of ridesharing, with the added security that you know the driver. We’ve put all the control in parent’s hands. You set the pickup location, the time and you can even offer Thank You dollars to help pay for gas and to thank your friend for their time. Take that meeting, enjoy a hobby, or spend time with your other kids, all while knowing your child is being driven by someone you know and trust.
And when your kids are grown up and are doing their own driving, they can still benefit from KydRides. As they return to Fairfield County from their college semesters, finding temporary work is difficult. What better way for them to make some extra money than by providing rides for the next generation of kids in the neighborhood?
