Best Christmas Light Displays

christmas light displaysNothing brings more joy to my family around the holidays than Christmas lights, and what a better year to indulge in this naturally socially distanced parade style holiday activity. Fairfield County has some of the best light displays I’ve seen outside of New York. I’m hopeful that some will up the ante even more this year.

Below are a few local homes that have given their all this holiday season and work hard annually at spreading joy throughout the community with the best Christmas light displays. What a great way to give back!

That House in Milford – 75 Meadows End Road. What started as 1500 lights in 2002 has now grown to an estimated 30,000 lights. “That House” in Milford is truly a beautiful sight to see. Suggested donations go to support the Connecticut Food Bank.

House of Lights – 68 Lewelyn Road, Stamford – The House of Lights is on every night from Thanksgiving to January 7 from 5P – 1A. Due to the pandemic, you can no longer walk around the whole house this year, but you can still drive up and get that good old Christmas feeling that only a ton of lights can bring.

Wonderland at Roseville – 226 Roseville Terrace, Fairfield. The homeowners of 226 Roseville Terrace have done more than decorate their house with thousands of lights; they’ve created a truly impressive Christmas village in their backyard. Everyone from Rudolph to Elmo has been invited. This is a great one for the kids. It is a drive-by display only this year, and the donations go to support the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.

Fantasy of Lights at Lighthouse Point Park – East Haven. Lighthouse Point Park is a stone’s throw outside of Fairfield County, but it wins for local Christmas lights. It’s designed to enjoy drive-thru style, is super COVID friendly, is about a mile in length, and has been operating for 26 years.  You can purchase your tickets online in advance for additional social distancing this year. The drive down Frontage Road leading to the water is equally festive and beautiful. Proceeds benefit the Goodwill of Southern New England. It is definitely worth the drive from Fairfield county.

Happy Holidays Mamas! Are there any other locations we need to know about?
