It’s a tale as old as time… Moms on edge! Mom can’t sleep because of all the anxious thoughts racing through her mind! I’m sure many of you can relate!
We are all riding the struggle bus through 2020! Even if you were previously even-keeled, there’s nothing like a global pandemic to ratchet up your anxious thoughts! Enter CBD supplements!
I have been off and on CBD supplements for a year now, and can confidently say that once you’ve found the right one, they’re great!
My main two issues are anxiety and sleep. My anxiety causes lack of sleep, and when I’m tired, I’m more anxious, and around and around we go! In fact, my sleep issues had gotten so bad that my doctor put me on a prescription drug known as Trazodone to mellow me out at night. Although it helped, I still had good nights and bad nights. It wasn’t until I started consistently taking CBD oil at bedtime that my sleep began to improve!
A third bonus area of improvement is inflammation! My knee pain is better, and using CBD cream helps to keep aches and pains at bay.
Okay, But What is CBD Really? Will I Get High?
Cannabidiol or CBD is derived from the Hemp leaves of the Cannabis Sativa plant, otherwise known as marijuana. CBD is one of about 140 cannabinoids found in the plant. THC is another one. But unlike THC, CBD isn’t psychoactive, meaning it doesn’t make you feel high. You can learn more about the science behind CBD here.
Finding the Right Brand and Dose
I had to go through a few different brands until I found one that worked best with my body chemistry. I also tried a few different doses of CBD oil and found that anything under a 500 mg concentration didn’t do much for me. I now take one dropper of CTFO 500 mg oil under my tongue a few hours before bed. If I forget to take it one night, I’ll notice that my sleep is not as restful.
Consistency is Key
As I mentioned above, consistency is key. It takes a while for the CBD to build up in your system, so you have to take it every day for at least two weeks to notice a difference. Once you start, build it into your daily routine to see the best results.
