Recently I was treated to driving around the Volvo XC90 from Riley Volvo Cars Stamford. The Volvo XC90 is a luxurious car with unparalleled functionality for any busy parent! It is not a typical “mom car” by any means!
For me, one of the most important aspects of a car is roominess. My husband, myself, and two boys are both in the 90th percentile for height! We require room and comfort for those in-between-activity catnaps in the car and long trips to Hilton Head and Grandma’s house! The XC90 not only had comfortable leather seats, but at my boys’ ages, the individual captain seats versus the bench seating were vital. They had their own space and felt grown up having seats like their parents. And did I mention the moonroof?
In addition to roominess, I took specific notice of the safety features. The rear and aerial cameras, the automatic brake assistance, the option to unlock only one door versus all the doors at once, and the handle and running board lighting all gave me a sense of security while driving the car both during the day and nighttime.
Besides the functional aspects of the XC90, it is also beyond luxurious.
While it has just started turning cooler here in the northeast, the first feature I tried out was the heated seats and steering wheel. I often do not have time to wait for my car to warm up. The responsiveness of these features meant a cozy early morning ride to school drop-offs! The large navigation screen felt familiar to other electronic devices I use daily. While it was great to have the owner’s manual right on the navigation screen, I was able to figure out how to use the options with ease. I felt downright sleek tooling around town!
My family has an upcoming car purchase, and we are seriously considering a purchase from Riley Volvo Cars Stamford!
