I met Sabrina Autera, mom of 2 beautiful little girls and one precious baby boy, at the MomEFair back in November. Sabrina owns Really Fun Beauty, a company in the makeup artistry and skincare fields. When she emailed me this December to invite me to a Lash Bar Extravaganza on New Year’s Eve, I was excited to see her studio and learn more about Really Fun Beauty!
Sabrina, mom of 3 and an army veteran, began Really Fun Beauty after suffering from an Amniotic Fluid Embolism, resulting in a cardiac arrest during labor this past June. Sabrina says, “the whole world is different now. I see the beauty in everything, and I take nothing for granted. Now I hug my children a little tighter, and I cherish every minute God has allowed me to spend on this earth”. She has created a fun studio in her Fairfield home and does on-location weddings and special events. She is welcoming and patient, answering my questions AND explaining everything she was doing as she applied the fab lashes you see in the picture!
Really Fun Beauty is for both women and girls. Sabrina has created a cool company around the belief that we should all have access to the best beauty trends without spending a fortune. Sabrina says, “when you look your best, you feel your best. And confidence is empowering”! Ain’t that the truth! In addition, Sabrina also sells Bona Clara skin care, an eco-friendly line of products she raves about. What I love about Sabrina’s company is its slogan, “the coolest beauty company in Connecticut.” I couldn’t agree more!
Have many makeup and beauty products you aren’t sure how to use? Really Fun Beauty also offers affordable classes!!! Sabrina teaches a series of classes that will help you perfect your beauty routine. Class topics include priming your face to achieve the perfect smoky eye. She offers a 5-class series on Monday nights. Sessions begin Monday, January 27th and run through Monday, March 3rd for the Winter Session and Monday, March 17th through Monday, April 21st for the Spring Session. All classes are from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Classes for teens are also available on Tuesday, January 28th, Tuesday, February 25th, and Tuesday, March 25th, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
