Sky Zone Trampoline Park – Let’s Go!

1

I was recently given the opportunity to take my daughter and her friend to Toddler Time at Fairfield County Moms Blog sponsor, Sky Zone, in Bethel. I mean what mom isn’t always looking for a great indoor space that is guaranteed to tire out any active kiddo?! Especially with summer break right around the corner.

The day of my visit I was kindly greeted by Melinda at the front desk, who had Sky Zone socks waiting for the kids. There is a choice of pink or orange (my daughters two favorite colors, by the way!). It is policy that all participants must wear Sky Zone’s specialty socks since no outside socks are allowed. This is a small additional fee, and you are encouraged to bring them along on any return visits. My daughter chose pink and her friend chose Sky Zone orange.

We also needed to confirm that a waiver was signed. Waivers are required to jump and can be filled out at the front desk or online prior to your visit. We were then directed to the cubicles on the far wall to put our shoes and any other belongings. There are also pay-for-use lockers off to the side to keep any valuables you have extra safe.

As we entered the zone a princess was waiting for us on the stairs and ushered us to the open trampoline space. Luckily it was princess and superhero day! Bonus for us! Here the kids interacted with the princess, and ran and jumped around like crazy people with pool noodles and various sizes of balls. It was nonstop laughter and fun.

From there we tried the foam pit, where the kids – both dressed in superhero t-shirts – played with the superhero on duty. They jumped into the foam, built tall buildings with the foam blocks, and my daughter even attempted the skyladder, “A frustratingly fidgety ladder, suspended over a soft landing.”

We spent a good two hours bouncing before it was time to leave for preschool. I know my daughter had a great time and wants to go back ASAP! And her friend’s mom said he hasn’t stopping talking about it since, making his siblings very green with envy.

Sky Zone offers this Toddler Time for preschool age children and younger. The cost is $10 per child and parents can bounce for free. Tuesdays are always princess and superhero themed, Wednesdays are zoo themed, and you can wear your pjs on Thursdays. Over the summer Toddler Time will only be on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.

They also offer open jump times for $5 for every 30 minute bounce allotment every Tuesday-Sunday. Be sure to check their website for hours, as they are not the same every day. During this time you can freestyle jump, get a game of Skyslam, volleyball or dodgeball going since they have multiple courts. They do their best to separate age groups and I was very happy to easily see rules and warnings in every location.

Don’t worry there is still fun for the older kids and adults during the evening hours. You can try SkyFit – a fun workout (Tuesday and Thursday), Sky Wars – trampolines and Nerf guns (Wednesday), Glow – involves lasers, music and blacklights (Friday and Saturday nights), and Sensory Sundays – especially for children and adults with sensory issues. There is no music and the lights are lowered.

And let’s not forget that Sky Zone is the perfect birthday party location! You can get pizza, drinks, a private party room and dedicated staff member, plus 60 minutes of trampoline time. Simple fun at its best!

Did you know that Sky Zone also has a Norwalk location? So what are you waiting for? Let’s go to Sky Zone!
