A Ride Better Than the Rest: Riley Volvo Cars Stamford

I live in my car. Then again, what mom doesn’t? My boys ride to work and school with me every day, and my husband and I usually alternate driving responsibilities, so that means my car is my best friend.

I’ve only owned three cars in my life, and I don’t really consider myself a car aficionado. I have always said my car is just a way to get from point A to point B. Then, I had the opportunity to test drive the Volvo XC90 from Riley Volvo Cars Stamford. I had never driven one before this and now can’t stop thinking about it.

WOW, this car is no mom-mobile! It’s an amazing luxury car that still keeps you safe.  From the moment I sat in the driver’s seat, I was smitten! The XC90 is a car like no other. As I drove around town to do my everyday errands, including hockey practice, grocery shopping, and checking out holiday lights, I fell more in love with it.

Some of my favorite features were the heated steering wheel, amazing radio, built-in navigation, and automatic adjusting driver seat. I was blown away by how easy it was to pair my iPhone with the car and the Blind Spot Monitor. My husband also loved the radio, and my boys couldn’t get enough of the sunroof and heated back seats.

My friends, especially my mom friends, couldn’t get over how this car was so good-looking and still functional. I test drove it right before the holidays, and I am sure many mamas were hoping to find this beauty in their driveway as a gift. I know my boys were hoping Santa would bring us one.

Even though my boys are older (5 and 9), car seats are still a big factor for us. The latch system was available in the second row of seats, and the anchor was available on all four rear seats. There’s even an option to have a built-in booster seat. I especially loved how the car monitors when the child locks are in use or if someone unbuckles.

Volvo has taken into account everything a family needs in a car. The technology is innovative, the design is fresh, the safety features are above standard, and the car can even help you reduce your carbon footprint!

The next time I’m in the market for a new (or new to me) car, I will definitely be finding my way back down to Riley Volvo Cars Stamford and suggest you do the same. Jameson and AJ run the family-owned business. They are kind, honest, caring, and dedicated to keeping drivers safe and happy. You won’t regret the stop there, and you might leave with the best car you never knew you needed!

I'm a full time mom/teacher/wife/daughter who feels pulled in too many directions! My son Michael took over 24 hours to be born, and at 6 months old he was diagnosed with allergies to dairy, eggs, soy, shrimp and wheat... all after my exclusively nursing because I was SO SURE that would help him be a healthy kid. The joke was clearly on me. Luckily at age 1, he outgrew his soy and wheat allergies. Fingers crossed the others will soon follow. In July of 2015 I gave birth to my second son, Christopher. Thankfully he doesn't seem to have an allergies and is pretty happy go lucky. I'm grateful between my husband who doesn't eat any veggies and me always battling my weight makes for 3 meals to prepare every night. No wonder I'm so dang tired! It's a good thing I love to cook and don't require more than 7 hours of sleep since I often get far fewer than that. I am addicted to Scandal and Nashville, but other than that, most nights I'm content to surf Pinterest and pin way too many crafty pins I will never do with my son. I hope readers can relate to me or at least have a chuckle at my expense.
