Pizza! Pizza! {where to eat in Fairfield County}

It’s Friday night, what’s for dinner? It’s been a long week…so, pizza for the win! Dine-in, take-out or deliver! Here’s a round-up of Fairfield County Mom contributors’ favorite pizza spots!

 GREENWICH & STAMFORD

1. Glenville Pizza – They have the best salad pizza and lasagna slices! They also have amazing white pizza with broccoli and spinach.
2. Pizza Post – A family-run business for many years and a family favorite of many people in Greenwich and beyond. Pizza Post serves delicious pizza with quality ingredients.
3. Grigg Street Pizza – A hidden gem on a small side street just off of bustling Greenwich Avenue. Dine-in service from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. is suspended for the winter months, but you can order take-out and enjoy at home or on the go.
4. Doppio – Authentic Italian pizzas, pastas, antipasto dishes, and more.
5. Pomodoro – Brick oven pizza and a family-friendly restaurant located in the Riverside Commons Shopping Center. Pomodoro also offers take-out, delivery, and catering options.
6. Arcuri’s – Arcuri’s has served the Greenwich and Stamford area for over 45 years. Delicious pizzas for take-out or delivery among other quality food items such as daily homemade soups.
7. Fortina – A fun restaurant in the Harbor Point community! They have a number of delicious dishes and an array of pizzas!
8. Coalhouse Pizza – Pizza with the BEST flavor combinations! And they have great craft beers.
9. Rikos – Delicious thin crust pizza similar to Colony, AND they deliver!
10. Remo’s Brick Oven Pizza Company – Includes a build-your-own brick oven pizza and excellent pasta and salads. Located in Stamford and has a great dine-in atmosphere.
11. Fairfield Pizza – Multiple locations (Greenwich, Stamford, Fairfield, and Stratford)! The Greenwich location has the BEST chicken Parmesan!
12. Colony Grill – They also have multiple locations (Norwalk, Stamford, and Fairfield) with yummy thin crust pizza. The restaurant is very kid-friendly!
13. Planet Pizza – This pizza shop serves delicious pies made from in-house homemade dough. They are great for ordering pizzas for kid’s parties and perfect for late-night binging. They have locations in Fairfield, Greenwich, Stamford, Westport, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Danbury, and Shelton.
14. Nick’s Pizza – Nick’s has been serving thin-crust pizza with over 40 toppings to choose from since 1969. It’s great for take-out, and the restaurant has a casual, family-friendly atmosphere!
15. Hope Pizza Restaurant – They call themselves “fast, delicious and affordable,” and they are just that! They serve great pizza, Greek specialty foods, and delicious chicken Parmesan!
16. Amore Cucina & Bar – Great quality pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven.

NEW CANAAN & DARIEN

1. Locali – A fun local spot with great outdoor seating!
2. Joe’s Pizza – Joe’s is New Canaan’s original pizza spot! They have been family-owned and operated since 1967! They’ve also been voted the best pizza in town.
3. Dante’s Pizza – This casual eatery is one of four establishments inside the Pine Street Concessions.
4. Post Corner Pizza – They serve a yummy Sicilian-style pizza and offer a very welcoming family vibe.
5. Pinocchio Pizza – The owner and pizzaiolo, Bruno DiFabio’s Italian roots and passion for Italian food and pizza run deep! There are two locations (Wilton and New Canaan).
6. Parlor – This casual, family-friendly restaurant serves up Neapolitan-style pizza. Locations are in Darien and Wilton.
7. Bertucci’s Brick Oven Pizza and Pasta – Offering signature pizzas, build-your-own, and calzones, among many other tasty options. There are four Connecticut locations, including Darien, and other east coast locations as far south as Virginia.
8. Burgers and Pies – Located in the Darien Ice Rink, the menu is quite extensive and includes a list of creative signature pizzas. A family-friendly and casual restaurant. Free delivery and curbside pick-up options are available as well.

NORWALK

1. Rowayton Pizza – Serving Fairfield County for over 40 years and making great quality pizzas from traditional recipes. 
2. Romanacci – A pizza bar in Norwalk (with a location in Trumbull) owned by two brothers. They proudly offer many Italian “eats and treats!” Closed for renovations at the time of this article, but check out their website for reopening updates in their newly renovated space.
3. Savor – For the more health-conscious customer, Savor offers all organic and natural ingredients in their food, smoothies, and pizzas, which are homemade and healthy.
4. Jordan’s Restaurant & Pizza – Thick Greek-style pizza and delicious salads! They have two locations in Norwalk and one in Westport.
5. Coals – Flatbread-style grilled pizza with great flavors. Try several menu options since it’s thin crust and not as filling.
6. Letizia’s Pizza – Thin-crust style pizzas with a wide array of topping options.
7. Valentino’s Cucina Italiana – Traditional and specialty pizza options, among many other menu options such as meat and fish dishes.

WESTPORT & FAIRFIELD

1. Frank Pepe Pizzaria – This coal-fired, thin-crust pizza is delicious and offers a variety of toppings (really fun combinations). They have Danbury and Fairfield locations (and outside of Fairfield County).
2. Tarry Lodge – Rated best pizza by Connecticut Magazine, Tarry Lodge serves hand-made pasta, pizzas, and succulent meats over a wood-fired grill.
3. Julian’s Brick Oven Pizza – Authentic wood-burning pizza with locations in Westport and Monroe.
4. Testo’s Deli & Pizza – A market with various to-go foods, including delicious pizza!
5. Pizza Mediterranean – A favorite go-to for delivery! Fast and fresh, authentic pizza.
6. Angelina’s Trattoria – They serve basic traditional Italian cuisine and New York style pizza.
7. Luigi’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria – Luigi’s was awarded Best Italian Food and Best Family-Friendly Restaurant in 2020 by Moffly Media Best of Fairfield Living Magazine. They have the largest rotating pizza oven in town and offer a family-style menu – perfect for passing around the table!
8. Steffano’s – Steffano’s has served the Fairfield area for over 20 years, and the mushroom and onion pizza has been named a favorite of several contributors.

WILTON, WESTON & RIDGEFIELD

1. 850 Degrees – Wood-fired and traditional New York style pizza! Their Brussels sprouts are amazing; the perfect side to a delicious pie! Great variety of topping combinations and crust styles.
2. Wilton Pizza – This family-owned and operated restaurant is known for its yummy pizza and pasta. They also cater and offer portable pizza parties.
3. Tooty Patza Pizza – Located in the Georgetown section of Wilton, they are a fun family restaurant that serves thin-crust pizza.
4. Venice Restaurant & Pizza – This Ridgefield pizza joint serves up delicious New York style pizza! Big slices with lots of cheese and the restaurant is family-friendly!
5. Lunch Box – Located in Weston, the menu offers a variety of lunch and dinner options and a variety of specialty and build-your-own pizzas.

BRIDGEPORT, STRATFORD & TRUMBULL

1. Trumbull Pizza Company – They have been serving pizza and Italian dishes to Fairfield County for 48 years!
2. Brewport – Serves thin crust pizza and Connecticut-style beers. Open for indoor and outdoor dining. A few of the recommended pizza options are the white clam pizza, the Korean bbq and kimchi pizza, and the topping option of mashed potatoes.
3. Brick Oven Pizza – Yummy brick oven pizza with a crust that is not “too thin” or “too thick.”
4. Fire Engine Pizza Company – Located in Black Rock, they serve specialized pizzas and have a great food truck for parties and events.
5. Testo’s Pizzeria & Restaurant – Delicious pizza and other yummy traditional Italian dishes.
6. Delizioso Brick Oven Pizza – Located in Stratford, offers tasty calzones in addition to a variety of pizza options.
7. Pizza Co – This restaurant has brick oven pizza served in a vintage gas station. Pizza Co also has a full-service bar and craft beers.

NEWTOWN, MONROE, SHELTON & REDDING

1. Lombardi’s Trattoria – This restaurant has delicious and authentic Italian food.
2. Julian’s Brick Oven Pizza – Authentic wood-burning pizza with locations in Westport and Monroe.
3. Carminuccio’s Pizza and Subs – A favorite pizza spot in Upper Fairfield County serves delicious New Haven style pizza.
4. My Place Pizza and Restaurant – A relaxed, family-friendly restaurant serving delicious pies and various other dishes. Offering take-out, curbside pick-up, and free delivery options as well.
5. Vazzy’s Cucina of Shelton – Vazzy’s has family-friendly dining, a fun bar area, and a large room for parties and events. We highly recommend Vazzy’s famous hot oil pizza!

BETHEL, DANBURY, BROOKFIELD, NEW FAIRFIELD, & SHERMAN

1. Stanziato’s – Wood-fired pizza with an array of creative toppings. A casual restaurant with a great bar menu!
2. Bambinos – Serving pizza in Danbury for over ten years, Bambinos makes NY-style brick oven pizza with fresh ingredients. Their pizza is made with “an infusion of passion and creativity” as per their website and is another contributor favorite for this area.
3. Portobello Restaurant & Pizza – Voted the number one pizza in Brookfield! The buffalo chicken pizza is the absolute best! Note – they are cash only!
4. Andiamo – Located in Brookfield, Andiamo serves wood-fired pizza along with other Italian dishes such as chicken parmigiana, meatball parmigiana, and a penne vodka dinner.
5. Pizzeria Bello – Dine-in, carry-out, or delivery! Delicious New York style pizza!
6. Famous Pizza – Known as Bethel’s “hometown Pizzeria,” they are located right at the iconic P.T. Barnum Square. They host kids’ birthday parties too!
7. Victoria’s Wood Fired Pizza – This wood-fired pizza joint is located at P.T. Barnum Square, and they have a great pizza truck available for parties and events!
8. Portofino – They have been serving New York style pizza to New Fairfield for over 30 years. This family-friendly restaurant also has a large room to rent for parties and events.
9. The Painted Lemon – This is an Italian restaurant in Sherman with an extensive menu of Italian dishes. The pizza and calzone selection offers a variety of choices. Their website states that they use fresh ingredients from local purveyors.
