I would like to invite you to take part on my mom journey. Being part of the Fairfield County Moms Blog shows me that once we embrace our passion, the doors open wide with opportunities to connect with others who have embraced theirs as well. I would like to share a bit about the mom journey that led me to be part of such an awesome community of moms. My name is Nathalie and I am originally from Cote D’Ivoire, West Africa. I moved to the USA after graduating High School with plans to pursue a degree in Pharmacy.
A wise king once said, “In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” That pretty much sums up my life story. I ended up getting a Bachelors degree in Computational Science, a combination of Math and Computer Science. After that, I fell in love with Finance, worked in banking and made plans to pursue an MBA in Finance. Instead, I met Hubby and became a housewife. His Engineering job as a consultant meant that we had to be ready for any adventure his job led us to.
He accepted a consulting job in Connecticut in 2005 for six months. Six months turned into seven years and three children. We decided it was time to plant roots here in Connecticut to raise our three girls. Hubby accepted a full time position with a local company and now we call Connecticut our home.
The year 2016 was pivotal in revealing my purpose of motivating moms to embrace a healthy whole lifestyle. It’s simply amazing what happens when you commit to finding and living your purpose. One quote by Oprah Winfrey, which I hold on to because it speaks to where I was and where I am going, says: “There is no greater gift you can give or receive than to honor your calling. It’s why you were born and how you become most truly alive.” I believe it wholeheartedly. Honoring my calling is why I am honored to join other amazing Mom Bloggers. We share the journey to let our voice be heard, doing what we love and loving what we do.
