Good Bye, So Long, Farewell My Friends…

music togetherAs we end our semester with Fairfield County Moms Blog sponsor, Music Together of Fairfield County, I’m certainly sad to sing the “Goodbye Song.” However, I know, “…we’ll make music together again…” soon. My daughters and I were lucky to have spent the past few weeks at Music Together of Fairfield County classes. We enjoyed every session with my mom as well, which is a great experience for her to spend with her granddaughters (and of course an extra set of hands for me).

During our semester we were also able to attend Music Together of Fairfield County Director, Jackie Jacobs, class. We really enjoyed the time in her class. She was so impressed with my musical mom and what a great influence she is for the girls. Having her come to class is definitely impacting their early love of music. Also, I’d like to note the classes we have been to have been so welcoming and inclusive for all caregivers. My mother looks forward to the classes just as much as my girls.

What I also love about the class is that your kids never have to sit still. The Music Together teachers understand that all children learn differently and will absorb the music differently. Also, reinforcing the music that they hear in class is so easy because you get a CD to bring home, as well as the “Hello Everybody” app. You have the semester’s music at your fingertips, which couldn’t be anymore convenient.

The girls definitely have brought their musical knowledge home and I catch them singing all the songs quite a bit. This has been one of the best classes I have done with them because it can be continued at home and really throughout their early education and beyond. I may ask for gift certificates for the holidays or their birthday gift from their grandparents. It would be a great gift for all of us!

I highly recommend taking a trial class as the locations and schedules are convenient for any family. You can get a feel for the music, teachers, and how much your child will enjoy the class. I hope you will give it a try and get to sing “Hello Everybody…” soon.
