On October 11th, the United Nations recognizes and celebrates the International Day of the Girl Child. This day “focuses attention on the need to address the challenges girls face and to promote girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights.”
This year, the theme of the International Day of the Girl is “My Voice, Our Equal Future.” Empowering girls and advancing gender equality is essential to creating and sustaining global development. If you want to read more about this initiative and girls breaking barriers worldwide, check this out!
