Grab a coffee and drop a toiletry item!
Fairfield County Mom is so excited to announce that we have partnered with local coffee shops throughout Fairfield County (Winfield Street Coffee Stamford and Westport locations, Candlewood Market, Allora Coffee and Bites, Affogato, and J Bagels and Cafe) to run a toiletry collection drive to support Impact Trumbull. The drive will run from Saturday, April 17th to Saturday, April 24th. Baskets will be placed outside each location to collect the items, and we will deliver them to Impact Trumbull to be used in Blessings Bags and Care Caddies!
What are we collecting?
NEW & UNUSED: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, soap bars, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, shower caps, mouth wash, razors, shaving gel, nail polish, nail clippers/files, cotton balls/swabs (individually wrapped), face wipes or clothes, and hand sanitizer.
Who is Impact Trumbull?
IMPACT stands for Individuals Making Positive Advances in the Community of Trumbull. They have over 100 families in Trumbull who help support the community through hands-on, monthly projects and collections. Some examples of these activities include the assembly and donation of Cold Care Kits to The Bridgeport Rescue Mission, foster care kits for Family and Child Aid, Blessing Bags, cooking kits, and Care Caddies for Operation Hope. Community nominations also help to support neighbors who need temporary assistance due to unforeseen circumstances.
What will Impact Trumbull do with all these toiletries?
Impact Trumbull will use the toiletry items for packaging Blessings Bags and Care Caddies. The Blessings Bags will be delivered to local homeless shelters, and the Care Caddies go to domestic violence shelters, veteran’s homes, and local food pantries.

Why are we supporting Impact Trumbull?
When I think about what Fairfield County Mom stands for, I am so proud. We are a group of honest and real mamas writing about our journey through motherhood and our experiences that have shaped who we are. We work hard to spread our word because we want to be a resource for all moms near and far!
Another very important mission of Fairfield County Mom is to give back to our local community, the same local businesses we work hard to promote! Sometimes when you think local, charities can easily be forgotten. We have so many organizations in our own backyard that are working tirelessly to help those in need. In December, we published Our Favorite Local Charities to help raise awareness for many of these organizations!
