As a busy mom of three daughters, I do not get many opportunities to go out with other adults, especially on a school night. Usually, if I am leaving my house, it will involve an activity that my children want to do. So, I was thrilled when I got to go out with my fellow Fairfield County Mom Contributors to SoNo 1420 American Craft Distillers.
SoNo 1420 is tucked in historic South Norwalk, CT. We enjoyed a fun couples night out that included a tour, the history of the business, and lots of delicious cocktails. 
The ambiance of SoNo 1420 was very inviting from the moment we arrived. The space made me feel as if I had stepped into my own living room, but with a really cool bar. It was well-decorated and vibrant. We were immediately served the Blaze Whisky on ice in a highball glass. The Blaze Whisky is made with all-natural cinnamon sticks and bourbon. This is a one-of-a-kind, award-winning whiskey unlike anything I have ever tasted. 
I also was delighted to enjoy one of their ready make cocktails, Strawberry Lemonade Haze. This drink was so refreshing and was not too sweet. You will find many additional tasty cocktails on their bar menu that can be made to order. I promise there is a great cocktail for each person’s preference to enjoy. 
During my evening with my fellow Fairfield County contributors, we also enjoyed some great food and snacks from; Baked and Sauced, Fortuna’s Catering Co, and Captivating Charcuteries.
Ted Dumbauld, the Founder of SoNo 1420, gave us all the history and took us on a tour of the distillery. SoNo 1420 is revolutionary, innovative, and authentic. They also offer complimentary bottle engraving. You can get a bottle engraved with your own personal message. They can personalize this for you, whether it is a Happy Birthday or a special message.
SoNo 1420 is a great space to host a small private gathering. Whether you may be celebrating a birthday or another special occasion, this space is a perfect place to hang out with great friends. I always love supporting local businesses across Fairfield County.
I genuinely had a great time with my fellow Fairfield County Mom contributors. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy this quintessential space with my husband. It will be a perfect date night (or day) with a spouse, friend, or whomever you may enjoy time out with.
