EntrepreneursFairfield County is filled with some pretty amazing, business savvy, boss ladies and gentlemen. These peeps not only work hard, but they have businesses that are taking Fairfield County (and beyond) by storm! Here is a little information about their businesses and the hustlers behind the brands!

The Board Mama

This is a small local charcuterie business run by Stamford native Angela Colabella. Now, based out of Norwalk, this full-time working mom of two knew she wanted and needed to do something creative and delicious to serve to her community after entertaining friends and family with her huge charcuterie spreads. The Board Mama’s name came from Angela’s friends telling her how she always feels the need to take on more. She turned “bored” into “board” and has officially been in business since January 2020. Angela is adamant about filling her spreads with local goods. Each order will include products from farmers’ markets, deli’s, and other small local businesses. Bringing people together through an aesthetically pleasing and equally delicious food spread is what she aims for with every order.

Expanding on its passion for the unique, Two Roads opened the doors to Area Two Experimental Brewing in the spring of 2019. The state-of-the-art facility is a sour, barrel-aging, and experimental brewery situated on their 10-acre campus and focuses on the wild and spontaneous side of brewing. This line of hard seltzers was created using 100% real fruit, instead of relying on extracts and artificial flavors. Two Roads distributes throughout the US, offers Beer-2-Go pick up 7-days a week at the Stratford brewery, and welcomes guests in their tasting room and Hop Yard every Thursday-Sunday (reservation required).
