We understood the unease of coming into one of our centers due to the growing concerns of COVID-19. We were honored to be voted best urgent care in Fairfield for 2019 and now 2020 through your votes to Town Vibes Readers’ Choice Awards; we did not want to let our community down. We wanted to ease the overflow of patients going into the emergency room and also to help out our community that could not get to their primary care provider due to office closures.
To accomplish this goal, we introduced telemedicine to our practice. This fostered a safe, secure, and convenient way to connect with one of our professional healthcare providers in the comfort of your own home and at a fitting time that you select.
With the ever-changing symptoms associated with COVID-19, it is important to practice safe social distancing and at home quarantining to limit exposure to yourself and others. To help put your minds at ease to know if you have the virus, we have already implemented drive up swab testing and are happy to announce that we are also drawing blood for antibody testing for COVID-19 as well!
In order to be either swabbed or to receive antibody testing, you simply need to book a telemedicine visit through our website at https://www.afcurgentcarefairfield.com/ and select “Book Telemedicine.” After filling out a short registration form, you will be routed to speak to our provider, who will discuss your symptoms and concerns. The provider will then create a referral for your specific testing needs with a time and an AFC location.
Rolling out telemedicine has yielded amazing results and feedback from our patients, and we thank you all for your continued trust in us. As much as we enjoy being able to satisfy your healthcare needs through telemedicine, we would also like to mention that we are still open for walk-in visits! We have had to make a few changes in our hours of operation, but for those of you that would like to see our providers in person or are dealing with medical needs that require hands-on attention, we are here for you!
