Chill Headphones: Fun New Product!

0

We, as parents, are living in an age where children’s headphones are a must for survival. My daughter’s headphones recently became a tangled mess and I accidentally broke them trying to free the tangle….cue meltdowns from both the 4 year old and 35 year old. Personally, I am carting children around to all kinds of activities where they are the unfortunate spectator…having to watch their sibling participate in karate, soccer, ballet, gymnastics, etc. It can get pretty painful for the toddler crowd. Let’s not forget plane and road trips. Sadly, my aching back can only carry so many coloring books and board books. Enter the always helpful tablet and ever essential headphones. I mean, other parents are pretty understanding, but NO ONE except the 3 year old needs to hear the narration for Preschool Monkey Lunchbox.

Chill Headphones

I recently received a few pairs of the new Chill headphones from Rokit Boost and they are fantastic! The practical side of me first noticed the cord….look closely, it’s not a thin slippery wire cord that will tangle around itself and everything it touches, instead it is a nice thick threaded cord. I have had these headphones stuffed in diaper bags, backpacks and at the bottom of my monstrous purse…never a single tangle. Priceless. Please also note the volume control on the cord, this helps my independent daughter feel more in control of her situation. The Mom in me also really likes the softly padded ear pieces and comfortable head piece. And my daughter loves the bright pink color and sleek design! (They also come in black and red!)

As parents, we all want our children to be as safe as possible. The folks over at Chill headphones are parents as well and have all the same concerns. They set out to design a quality product that would be affordable for all parents while also keeping their children’s ears safe. The volume is limited to 85 decibels in consideration of keeping the sound level appropriate and safe. This feature definitely sets them apart from many other brands! Honestly, I never found the volume to be too loud when I checked them. My kids don’t always get a tablet, but when they do, I want it to be enjoyable for all parties. It’s impossible to expect children to sit still without entertainment all the time and it’s simply not fair to the people around us to have to listen to their tablet activity.

Waiting for a haircut; Waiting at karate; Lunch stop on a road trip – the Chill headphones were priceless with all of our waiting!

Can you also tell how easily adjustable the headphones are for different heads? The same pair will easily fit different aged children; all the way from toddlers to tweens. Plus the parent can easily slip them on to check the volume before transferring them back to the child’s head. I think it is ingenious how the sizing is adjustable right on the earpiece as opposed to higher up on the head. My children adjusted the headphones by themselves several times…this means that my toddlers have heavily manhandled them…it is obvious to me that the Chill headphones are very well made and will not break easily. What a relief for a parent to know that an item will not have to be replaced on the plane midway between New York and Texas.
